It has been learnt that prices of Google’s upcoming smart speaker, which resembles Amazon’s Echo, has been leaked and it is reportedly considerably cheaper than Amazon’s device.

According to Android Police, Google’s speaker will sell for $129 when it will be available later this year.

The upcoming speaker from Google, first introduced at its I/O developer conference in May, will also be equipped with Google Assistant. It can control smart home devices, conduct searches, and help manage a multitude of tasks.

If the information regarding the price is true, it will be much cheaper than Amazon Echo’s $179.99 and Amazon Tap’s $129.99 price tag. While the report did not provide any details on availability, it has been speculated to make its debut at the Pixel launch event in October.

Google is also expected to unveil a new 4K-ready Chromecast at the same event, dubbed Chromecast Ultra, which will retail for $69. No official statement has been issued by Google yet.
